I took in some brand new, black suede, block heeled sandals as the plastic exterior of the heels were making a popping noise. I was served by a very friendly and very helpful gentleman with a buzz cut, but unfortunately I did not get his name. After some investigation, the gentleman found that it was due to the adhesive inside the block heel which was intermittently sticking to a plastic ridge. It took half an hour, so I just had a coffee in the Asda cafe and returned to pick up my new and improved shoes and at just £13 I was so very pleased with the cost and speed of the service I received. Especially as this was following a visit to the Timson branch that was based at Tesco Extra Superstore, also in Stafford, where I was told that due to the fact that my shoes were cheap shoes and that after a few wears the popping heel in question would probably fall off anyway and told that there was nothing this man could do to help me. Yet, an hour later at the alternative store, I was sent away within half an hour pleased as punch with my cheap shoes put right and considering that they only cost me £14.50, but are very comfortable, I feel it was £13  well spent.
